Teresa Tomas-Rangil, to whom I sent a message linking to this video, made the remark that it’s not so much Boulding’s accent that we hear in this video but rather a problem of elocution he had since childhood. I had almost forgotten that, but I used to wonder whether it might explain Boudling’s preference for visualization over any other language of theorization (the right hemisphere of the brain which commands imagination vs. the left which commands logic) … but I don’t how seriously this has to be taken.
